Stories Of Struggle
WE are being taxed out of our home.
Gordon St. Johnsbury, VTfor me i had to file chapter 7 and every thing i worked for for 55 years is all gone and now i am renting and still having to work at 72 years oll and i am having trouble with both of my kees and i am just keeping my head above water now.
Earl Grand Isle, VTIn 2004 I suffered a supracondular femur fracture and had no health insurance. I had to use ambulances to go to the ER to treat infections and had to have physical therapy. Due to the medical bills I had to declare bankruptcy and I LOST EVERYTHING. I am not alone when I say those of us who are elderly or disabled cannot afford to pay any more than we currently are paying. This country has its priorities totally confused. We bail out irresponsible banks, we pay for unpopular wars and yet we refuse to help those who should be the first priority. We all should hang our heads in shame.
Aldora Northfield, VTI worked full time at the same plant from 18 to 60 when my company went out of bussiness and paid in all those years and want what I paid for ahead of time, I keeped my part of the plan - now you pay for your part of the plan.
james Windsor, VTIt is very difficult to keep our heads above water. I am retired and my wife lost her job in January. Finding another seems to be almost impossible and so we are struggling to keep ahead.
