One Away Campaign: Our Success in Numbers
In just 18 months, the One Away Campaign for Elder Economic Security successfully raised awareness about the struggles seniors face, promoted programs that help, and advanced new proposals for the Older Americans Act (OAA).
- 5,000 stories: We collected more than 5,000 stories of real older adults struggling to make ends meet. We used these stories with the media and policymakers to show why OAA programs are vital to the health and independence of older adults.
- 25,573 video views: Thousands of people watched One Away videos produced by our 15 Local Advocacy Partners, which put a face on the problem.
