I read about a woman who was in her early seventies, having to make dresses for little girls to make money, since she couldn't afford to retire.The whole system is messed up! Why does it have to be this hard for seniors to survive? Why does it have to be hard for anybody to survive? My grandfather worked up till the day he died, and my grandmother has to live with my aunt who just got out of medical school. We need to work on plans to help the people in America get back on their feet, especially seniors.

Most of them would be in the street if not for Subsidized Housing for the Elderly. Please protect their home, food, health,and supportive services, by voting against FY12 budget resolution.

Joan Richfield, WIthanks to medicare part d,most my check goes to meds.imcan not have any of the basic necessities,can not afford all my meds and neither can i get help with most my meds,i can not even afford to go to dr apponintments. if you want to cut the budget then take away your own health benefits so then the republicans will be on the same field on what you keep taking away from us,i also can not afford air conditioning and heating my appt.i wish i did not listen to all of you saying work more so you will get more .if i didn't work so much i would qualify for extra help and alot of services i do not qualify for-and then their would be money for needed things which i can not get
